I can't believe that November starts today- time is just flying by! I hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween! Mine was kind of a bust. The work Halloween Social didn't happen as a morning meeting ran late by about 2 hours, leaving less than half an hour before an afternoon meeting started. On top of that, I had no kids come trick or treating.
Warm Figs with Goat Cheese
Warm Figs with Goat Cheese
Ingredients:
- 16 ripe figs
- 4 ounces of goat cheese
- 1 1/2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- Fresh cracked pepper
To Make:
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Cut figs into four slices that are still connected (so it looks like an open flower), making sure not to cut all the way through
- Arrange figs, cut side up, on a cookie sheet
- Spoon goat cheese into each fig
- Lightly brush each fig with vinegar
- Bake for about 8 minutes
- Top with a twist of cracked pepper
- Enjoy!
Notes:
- Black Mission figs are recommended for use in this recipe.
- The smaller the fig, the better.
- Figs are in season in the summer or fall, making this a great recipe for this time of year!
