Cherry Cheese Pie
Ingredients:
- 1 (9 inch) graham cracker crumb pie crust or baked pastry shell
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (14 0z) can Sweetened Condensed Milk (not evaporated)
- 1/2 cup Real Lemon Juice from concentrate
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling-chilled
To Make:
- In large mixer bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy
- Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk until smooth
- Stir in Real Lemon and vanilla
- Pour into prepared crust
- Chill at least 3 hours
- Top pie filling before serving
- Refrigerate leftovers
- Enjoy!
Notes:
- I knew a woman, Rhonda, who in 2007 put together a recipe book for her friends full of recipes from her friends. This recipe is from that book.
- Even though this is called 'pie' it is just like cheese cake.
- The person who supplied this recipe recommended using Eagle Brand condensed milk.
- In place of cherry pie filling, I've used other pie filling (my favourite is strawberry).
- I've also skipped pie filling altogether and just used chocolate or caramel sauce, drizzled on top.
